The Weißsee Gletscherwelt forms an entrance to the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern and opens up the view of glaciers, three-thousand-metre peaks and the surrounding mountain panorama.
In 6-person gondolas the ride leads past lakes and through high mountain landscape to the Berghotel Rudolfshütte on the Weißsee at 2,315 metres. The Weißsee Gletscherwelt is visited by walkers, mountain sports enthusiasts and climbers.

Anyone who comes here comes for the high mountains: in about twenty minutes the gondola runs from Enzingerboden to just over 2,300 metres, where the turquoise glacier lake and the surrounding three-thousand-metre peaks determine the picture. Walkers describe it as impressive, but as serious terrain. The route to the Medelzkopf takes about three quarters of an hour from the top station, requires sturdy shoes and a sure step, and was broken off in one report because the weather turned. Quieter is the longer round through the Wiegenwald, of which the first half hour in particular climbs steeply.
