The Radiomuseum Grödig documents the history of radio, from the first transmitters to FM sets from the 1960s. The exhibits include a radio from 1928 and an old morse apparatus.
The collection is arranged chronologically. Besides viewing rare pieces and seeing them demonstrated, the visitor may also test them or help build a crystal receiver. Old devices are repaired on site. Guided tours are possible by appointment.

A small museum with around 250 devices, from early spark transmitters to FM radios from the 1960s, run by a single volunteer. What is unusual is that the devices still work and are switched on during the tour on request; the visit therefore leans heavily on the explanation given by the keeper. Suitable for technology and radio enthusiasts and for anyone who wants to see something of media history, less so for anyone expecting a large museum. For school classes and youth groups there are extras such as Morse code or building a detector receiver.
