The gondola of the Rauriser Hochalmbahnen takes you to the Hochalm, with walking paths and viewpoints. For families there is Tilly's Waldpfad, an interactive adventure trail. The Greifvogelwarte and the gold-panning site Heimalm are popular as well, and along the way there are huts and mountain pastures.

In summer the Rauriser Hochalmbahnen are a good starting point for trips in the Alps. The gondola takes you to the Hochalm, where many walking paths, viewpoints and fresh mountain air await you. One of the attractions is Tilly's Waldpfad, an interactive adventure trail for families. Also popular are the Greifvogelwarte and the Goldwaschplatz Heimalm, where the gold-prospecting history of the Raurisertal is taken up. Along the way huts and mountain pastures offer Pinzgauer hospitality.

What visitors say

The gondola brings visitors around 900 metres of ascent up to the Hochalm at 1,780 metres in a few minutes, which makes it an easy mountain day for families. The birds of prey demonstration is the highlight for most visitors: the birds skim low over the audience, and it is necessary to stay seated and to follow the falconer's instructions strictly. There is also gold panning at the middle station, an educational trail through the forest back down and a small mountain lake with a pedal raft. It is more a family mountain with activities than a base for demanding tours.
