What visitors say
Visitors are strikingly unanimous here: a small museum with a surprisingly high-quality collection of Gothic art and mining objects, housed in old buildings in the hamlet of Hütten. Anyone who also does the Schaubergwerk should allow two to three hours. That mine section has low, narrow passages and slippery stairs, so anyone who has trouble with confined spaces or is unsteady on their feet had better skip it. It is often mentioned as a good way to fill a rainy day.
- · Sturdy shoes for the Schaubergwerk; the stairs are slippery.
- · Not to be done if narrow, low passages feel oppressive.
- · Allow 2 to 3 hours for the museum and the mine together.
