The Karbachalmbahn is a 6-person gondola lift that runs from Mühlbach to the walking area around the Schneeberg in just over six minutes. At the top station are the mountain restaurant Karbachalm and Toni's Almspielplatz. The lift covers 690 metres of altitude over a length of 1,950 metres.

The Karbachalm gondola lift takes visitors to the walking area on the Schneeberg. Around the top station and the mountain restaurant Karbachalm lies Toni's Almspielplatz, a play area for young and old.

What visitors say
The gondola covers around 670 metres of ascent from the end of Mühlbach. Anyone who prefers to walk takes about an hour from the car park to the Karbachalm, through forest with views of the Hochkönig, the Mandlwände and the village. At the top station there are an alm serving regional dishes and a playground, which makes it a logical turning point for families. Continuing to the Schneeberg takes about another hour; from the valley the whole climb is a good 1,000 metres of ascent and 2.5 to 3 hours.
