At the top station of the Panoramabahn Hollersbach, at around 2000 metres above sea level, stands a glazed, terraced extension dating from 2012. From that point the view takes in most of the surrounding peaks and the untouched high-alpine landscape of the national park. A Smart-Viewer helps with orientation and gives additional information about the protected area.

The Smart-Viewer serves as an orientation aid and gives a good deal of additional information about the protected area. From this spot most of the peaks can be surveyed, together with the high-alpine landscape of the national park, which has been preserved in its original state.

What visitors say

The top is reached with the Panoramabahn, and the viewpoint looks out over the core of the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern. Visitors call it quieter than other lifts in the region and appreciate the wide view of mountains, alpine pastures and valleys. It stands or falls with the weather: in cloud little of the panorama remains. In high season and during breakdowns there can be a wait at the ticket office.
