The Ritzensee near Saalfelden is a natural lake of about 6 hectares with a view of the mountain range of the Steinernes Meer. By the lake there is a natural bathing area with an FKK section and a range of recreational facilities, open during the summer months. The bathing area opens only in fine weather, so check the forecast in advance.

What visitors say
The lake is small but the water is experienced as pleasant for a mountain lake; the moor water looks brownish, which puts some visitors off at first while the quality is in fact good. A level path runs round the lake with a view of the Steinernes Meer, and it is worthwhile even without swimming. For families it is straightforward: a separate zone for non-swimmers, a playground and minigolf nearby. There is also a nudist section, and dogs have to stay on the lead.
