- The car park is chargeable
- Also reachable by boat from Zell am See
At the Strandbad Thumersbach the sun can be enjoyed for the longest time. The cooling off is provided by the Zeller See, which is among the cleanest bathing lakes in Europe. There is direct access to the lake and, in addition, a heated swimming pool. For the youngest visitors there are a children's pool and a trampoline. The restaurant serves drinks and the familiar swimming pool classics, from chips to ice cream. Courses can be taken at the water-ski school. The lido is reachable by car and by bus, and by boat from Zell am See.
What visitors say
Thumersbach lies on the other side of the lake and, according to visitors, is noticeably quieter than the lido in Zell itself. People praise the well-kept grounds, the view of the mountains, the heated pool next to the lake water and the fact that there is sun here until the evening. There is criticism as well: some regular visitors report that the staff of the pool and the beach club have become less friendly, and without a guest card the admission adds up for a family.
- · Choose this lido if it is too busy in Zell am See; it is the quieter of the two.
- · There is free parking at the lido itself.
- · The location on the eastern shore means sun until late in the day, which is convenient for an afternoon visit.
