Gondola lift from Bad Gastein to the Stubnerkogel, with views over the mountains of the Hohe Tauern. At the mountain station there are a 140-metre suspension bridge, the viewing platforms Glocknerblick and Talblick, and the Felsenweg. There is also an indoor fun centre.

The Stubnerkogelbahn takes you up from Bad Gastein to the mountain station. There you will find a 140-metre suspension bridge, the viewing platforms Glocknerblick and Talblick, the Felsenweg and a fun centre indoors. The lift is suitable for sporty visitors, for families and for anyone mainly looking for quiet and a view.

What visitors say

The gondola takes you from Bad Gastein to just over 2200 metres in a short time, and the best-known feature at the top is the suspension bridge of around 140 metres, which does take some nerve to cross. The circular walk across the summit area, at about two hours and with little difference in altitude, is manageable for a wide public, although walkers report that it is less easy than the signage suggests and that the path is rougher in places. Anyone looking for a flat walk will be disappointed: the terrain soon climbs or drops steeply. The view is the main reason people return.
