The comfortable 8-person Almbahn I runs from the village centre at 630 metres to Loderbichl at 1000 metres, straight to the starting point of the experience trail Auf die Alm. The 6-person Almbahn II continues upwards to the Almenwelt Lofer at 1350 metres. That is exactly where the starting point of 7 circular walks with viewpoint summits lies.
What visitors say
Families are consistently positive here. Two gondolas take care of more than 700 metres of ascent, so children still have enough energy to walk once they are at the top; the adventure playground at the top station and the mountain huts along the way are the actual objective for many visitors. The circular walks range from three quarters of an hour to several hours, and parents report that with children more time is consistently needed than the signs indicate. The Wasserfallweg down easily takes three hours with play breaks and requires sturdy shoes.
