The poems of Georg Trakl are among the most striking texts of literary modernism. During his lifetime (1887 to 1914) the poet was little known; after his early death his work became highly influential. Today Trakl is regarded worldwide as one of the most important German-language poets.

In the middle of the bustle of the old town, the house is quiet enough to look at the exhibits at leisure and to read texts by Trakl.
