A museum about the Christmas season, located above the Café Glockenspiel on the Mozartplatz in the old town of Salzburg. The collection that Ursula Kloiber assembled over almost fifty years shows how the festivals from Advent to New Year were celebrated between 1840 and 1940. The museum is open almost all year, so it can also be planned outside December.

The Weihnachtsmuseum is located above the Café Glockenspiel on the Mozartplatz in the old town.
Under the motto Festivals between Advent and New Year from 1840 to 1940, the items are shown that Ursula Kloiber assembled over almost fifty years.
The main exhibition consists of eleven thematic areas, supplemented by temporary exhibitions. The museum can be visited almost all year.

A small private collection on the first floor on the Mozartplatz, with Christmas and Advent items from about 1840 to 1940, arranged across eleven themes. The atmosphere is appreciated: subdued warm light, Christmas music and darkly painted rooms, with the reconstructed Christmas room as the best-known element. Opinions differ on how much time it takes and on whether the size is in proportion to the entrance fee: some are through in twenty minutes, others stay looking much longer. A recurring criticism is that there is barely any explanation alongside the objects, so anyone looking for background is left with questions.
