The panorama speedboat Amadeus Salzburg travels along the Salzach past the old town in the direction of Hellbrunn. Tour 1 lasts 40 minutes and covers eight kilometres downstream and back; on tours 2 and 3 a historic London double-decker takes passengers from the landing stage to Schloss Hellbrunn in four minutes, on tour 3 including a visit to the Wasserspiele and the palace. Tour 1: the 40-minute trip starts at the Marko-Feingold-Steg in the middle of the old town of Salzburg. The eight-kilometre route runs quietly along the river towards Hellbrunn, with views of the old town and of the mountain ranges around Salzburg, and back again.
Tour 2: this begins like tour 1 and continues a few minutes further to the Hellbrunn landing stage. From there a historic London double-decker takes passengers in four minutes to the baroque Schloss Hellbrunn with the world-famous Wasserspiele and the pavilion from the film The Sound of Music.
Tour 3: besides the boat trip and the four-minute ride on the London double-decker, the visit to the Wasserspiele and to the palace is included here as well. Afterwards the double-decker brings passengers back to the starting point at the Marko-Feingold-Steg.

With the SalzburgCard an original ticket must be collected at the ticket desk, and for children under 4 a free ticket. Without a SalzburgCard, booking online is recommended. Reservations with the SalzburgCard are not possible for fewer than 20 people; places are then only available on the spot at the ticket desk, subject to availability. Reservations with the SalzburgCard for 20 people or more should be made by e-mail at least two weeks in advance.
What visitors say
The panorama boat makes a round trip on the Salzach along the old town; the longer trip downstream towards Hellbrunn is the best-known option. In dry summers that runs into trouble: at low water only the impounded stretch between the power station at Lehen and the Mozartsteg is deep enough, and the sailings to Hellbrunn are cancelled. Passengers are then rebooked onto the amphibious bus or the double-decker bus towards Hellbrunn. Expect the offer to differ from day to day, and note that high water or storms halt sailings as well.
