In the rear part of the valley of the national park municipality of Hüttschlag there is an exhibition about the cultural landscape, the alpine pastures and the forest in the national park. The Talmuseum presents the world of the alpine pastures in a vivid way. Interactive stations such as cow bingo, memory and cheese production also make the visit attractive for children. The museum works well in bad weather. The exhibition Bergwald of the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern on the first floor and the exhibition Metzger Krampusmasken in the basement of Gasthof Talwirt can be visited all year round during the regular opening hours of the guest house.

The Talmuseum at the far end of the Großarltal is a small national park museum about life on the mountain pastures, with interactive stations such as animal sounds, haymaking and cheese making. The few visitors who write about it find it lovingly and professionally made and suitable for adults and children at the same time; goats, ponies and geese also walk about by the building. The number of reviews is small, so expect no major crowd-puller but a quiet stop.
