The Fulseck lies between Dorfgastein and Großarl, at the start of the Gasteinertal, with views of the glaciated three-thousand-metre peaks of the Hohe Tauern. Walks start from the mountain, from short circuits between the mountain lifts to alpine tours, and there are mountain bike routes up and down. It is also a regular launch site for paragliders.

The Fulseck lies at the start of the Gasteinertal between Dorfgastein and Großarl, facing the panorama of the glaciated three-thousand-metre peaks of the Hohe Tauern. The mountain is a safe launch site for paragliders. Mountain bikers can pedal up in sporting style or ride down to the valley on flowing trails. Walkers find short circuits between the mountain lifts and to staffed huts, as well as alpine tours. For families there is plenty to do on the Fulseck.
What visitors say
From the top station the summit at just over 2,000 metres is a few minutes' walk; walkers praise above all the view in every direction, reaching as far as the Hohe Tauern, and there are tables and benches for a break. For families there are short routes: the Heumoosalm from the mid station takes around 45 minutes with some 160 metres of ascent, and the circuit past the Spiegelsee with its barefoot path takes about two hours. Those who want more can descend towards the Arltörl or the Schuhflicker, but that is steep and considerably long. It is therefore mainly an easily accessible viewpoint with walks around it, not demanding mountain terrain unless that is a deliberate choice.
- · The summit is only a few minutes from the top station; manageable with small children as well.
- · Short option: the Heumoosalm from the mid station, around 45 minutes.
- · The descents towards the Arltörl or the Schuhflicker are steep and long; not something to take on casually.
